Overview of professor experience

This professor is the founder and CEO of the Linda Services. He finished his PhD in English education in Atlanta University – USA and is applying for another Ph.D. in pedagogy concerning lexical approach in USEK and Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics in BAU in Lebanon. He has been teaching since 1998 in all English materials especially TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, SAT, OET, ACT and GMAT courses.

Title: IELTS Preparatory Training

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a standardized test for universities and college admissions in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada and other countries. The IELTS exam evaluates a candidate’s readiness for college and their knowledge in the English language four skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking).

Course Description:

IELTS Prep is designed to help prepare students for the IELTS test. In addition to reviewing the basic grammar sub-skill assessed on the IELTS test, students learn test-taking strategies and tips and tricks specific to the exam. Material includes samples with explanations, practice tests with complete multiple-choice assessments, and study resources including techniques and strategies for all skills (all materials are Cambridge Press University 2021). Independent practice is followed by guided collaborative review. Upon successful completion, students will possess the tools necessary to complete the IELTS to the best of their ability.

Duration: 16hrs for one month

It is used by professional trainees to get new jobs in the international companies  and it is used by undergraduate colleges for admissions in the international universities.

IELTS Reading

IELTS Reading section (academic and general) consists of three parts which include 40 questions to be solved. Each question has four answer choices. It is designed to evaluate candidates’ ability to understand the meaning of different contexts and their associated terms with meaning. The duration is 60 minutes.

IELTS Writing

The IELTS Writing part is of twofold (academic and general). The academic task 1 is an analysis of a graph, chart or picture (150 words minimum) while the general task 1 is to write a letter (150 words minimum) and it is of six types. The writing task 2 is to write an essay (six types) for both academic and general. The writing part duration is 60 minutes (task 1 is 20 minutes and task 2 is 40 minutes).

IELTS Listening

The listening part consists of four parts which include 40 questions in 30 – 40 minutes. It indicates the student’s readiness for short conversation, data collection and long lectures in daily life topics.

IELTS Speaking

The speaking part consists of three tasks. Task 1 to introduce one’s self, task 2 to talk about a daily life topic, and task 3 is to negotiate and persuade with solutions. Speaking task is usually between 14 to 16 minutes.
